Wouldn't it be fine to put a link here for a discussion area, where some basic debates could take place, e. g. "what will our "other Europe" look like" or "what is the relationship between the European level of governance and the national level (and the regional/communal level)" etc.? Can we support this type of debates with our technical means here (I guess so but am not sure) or do we have to use some sort of forum software (e.g. phorum)? Greetings Gerold
- The main difference between a wiki and a forum is that a forum doesn't structure data, that's why it often doesn't help to build concensus around a text or propose common solutions. For me a forum is just like a web based access to a mailing list. Via the wiki, we can work on a text. There even can be alternative texts if some people want to try another way to express something. From there we can build discussion pages about those pages, like the one we are using right now. But if other people ask for a forum I could install one, no problem. Sayno 16:35, 23 Mar 2005 (CET)
- hello sanyo ,the new design looks better .. but i think is is static - it gives users no "entry" for working with it .. any problems if I change it to an more "user - interaktive wiki" .. and I will naturly respekt your design rules .. *smile* but i think .. the first point of an "open wiki" is not to sign an constitution .. the first point will be to aktivate users to aktivate to work in the destination of that .. short .. sign is the last thing .. information - workin with it .. build an "akzeptanz" (i dont no the english word for that ) is the importents things ? And .. I'am not work at attec .. im work for the indefined "citiciens" Silverhair 00:06, 8 Jun 2005 (CEST)
- Silverhair, I thank you very much for your contributions. I have no problem that you try to transform the wiki into something more interactive. That's really what we want. I can see that you have a good experience of wikis... So go ahead and let's have an open discussion. Sayno 11:08, 8 Jun 2005 (CEST)

Hello I am Bruce Eggum from Wisconsin USA. Experiencing our USA out of control governmnent, I am learning the necessary safe gards people need. The EU is a huge danger, as it is presently designed, run by the commission, not the people. I want to help. I agree with Silverhair, if I did not know a bit of wiki, I could not write this. Perhaps an email or comments section? I have a Wiki here http://www.world-wide-democracy.net/Wiki/BrEggum and you can click the projects to see other members of this WDDM Wiki who are also concerned about the EU as well as Global governance. Please join us that together we can make a difference. You can email me at bruce.eggum@gmail.com I appreciatge your work here. Bruce
- Any help is welcome. What kind of collaboration do you suggest? Sayno 22:59, 25 Sep 2005 (CEST)
On the future of European politics
Hello,
about one year ago I suggested at the Treaty_establishing_a_Constitution_for_Europe_:talkpage to bury the European Conistitution as proposed by EU officials, and instead start a new bottom up process based on wiki-principles.
For the first time in history, technology permits us to take the political future into our own hands, letting us shape the future according to the wishes of all citizens, in contrast to those of a few.
I understand that this process may be a difficult venture given the contrary positions on this matter. However, I also believe that given the common goal, that is creating the most valuable and effective democratic government, chances are that such an attempt will lead to a common legal framework (whether a constitution or not) that also passes the test of a European referendum.
Therefore I would like to suggest that we set up a new wiki or subset of this wiki that could be used for the suggested purpose.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
